I enjoyed this story. The writing was good, I liked the dialogue, and it flowed easily. Jared is openly gay and is instantly attracted to the new straight police officer in town, Matt. They become good friends and Jared starts to notice some flirtatious vibes coming from Matt. They come to an impasse where Matt has to either confront his feelings for Jared or lose his friend. As the two become closer Jared also realizes that he has some unresolved issues with being in a committed relationship. I really liked these two characters and was drawn into them but the problem was that their emotions didn’t hit me. I never felt what they were going through.

Also, I wished there was more to the plot. For me, there was no punch to it.

All in all it was a sweet story and I liked the writing style so I'll continue with the series.
